APC releases revised election timetable, fixes presidential primary for May 23

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable for its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, including the fixing of its presidential primary election for May 23.
According to the party, the updated schedule introduces changes to key internal processes such as screening of aspirants, appeals, and the conduct of primaries.
In a statement on Monday signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said: “The revised timetable reflects adjustments to timelines for screening, appeals and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of forms and designated bank accounts for all related payments.”
The National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, who signed the schedule of activities, was also cited as having overseen the revisions.
The party further noted that arrangements for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms remain structured under approved payment channels to ensure compliance and transparency.
It added that the updated timetable is aimed at improving coordination and preparation ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
