Atiku obtains ADC presidential nomination form for 2027 race
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has obtained the party’s presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 general election.
The party disclosed this in a statement shared on its official X account on Saturday, accompanied by a receipt showing payment for the nomination form.
According to the document, Atiku paid ₦90 million through a bank draft for the form. The receipt, identified as Official Receipt No. 2881, was dated May 8, 2026.
The ADC described the development as a major step in what it termed a growing political movement within the party.
“H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON, has officially received his payment receipt to contest under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election,” the statement read.
The party said the move reflected increasing momentum towards “national renewal, democratic inclusion and people-driven leadership.”
ADC added that it remained committed to offering Nigerians what it described as a credible political alternative built on unity, competence, economic recovery and national progress.
The party further announced that the formal presentation of the nomination forms would take place on Monday at its national secretariat in Abuja.
