Flora, Aikou become BBNaija S11 Gambits, ineligible for grand prize

The mystery behind the Gambit was unveiled on Monday as Flora and Aikou were revealed as the Season 11 Gambits, making them ineligible to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize.

The announcement followed Big Brother’s introduction of the first major twist of the new season, a strategic feature known as “The Gambit,” which guarantees two housemates a place in the grand finale while disqualifying them from winning the show’s ultimate prize.

The revelation was made during Monday’s live interaction with the housemates and was also announced on the reality show’s official social media platforms. Organisers had earlier opened voting, allowing viewers to choose one male and one female housemate for the role. The male and female contestants with the highest number of votes emerged as the Gambits.

Explaining the concept to the housemates, Big Brother said the twist was designed to offer security in the competition while taking away the opportunity to win the grand prize.

Big Brother added that the selected contestants would continue to participate fully in all activities throughout the show despite being ineligible for the cash reward.

Following the unveiling of the Gambits, Big Brother introduced another twist by announcing workout incentives. He explained that housemates who participate in the daily morning workout sessions would be rewarded, while those who fail to participate or give their best effort would face consequences.

He also announced that housemates who fail to respond promptly whenever called by Big Brother would be sanctioned, adding that improper handling of microphones would attract penalties.

Big Brother further urged all the contestants to step up their game and put in more effort to showcase their potential as the competition progresses.
