Gospel musician, Kehinde Adegbodu, has raised alarm over a robbery attack on his family, eight days after burying his brother, Taiwo Adegbodu.
The gospel singer disclosed this in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, where he detailed the incident involving armed assailants.
He said the attack occurred on Wednesday evening at about 9pm when Taiwo’s wife called him in panic, informing him that four gunmen had broken into their apartment.
According to him, the assailants were asking for his room and that of his late brother, as well as valuables in the house.
He said, “Immediately they entered, they were asking, where is Kehinde’s room? Where is late Taiwo’s room? Where are their golds?”
Kehinde added that the attackers demanded Taiwo’s phone and car key but were told both were with him, as he had travelled with the car, after which they searched his room and carted away cash, clothes and shoes.
He further revealed that phones and money were also taken from other family members, though no life was lost in the incident.
The musician said the attackers may have targeted the family over funds raised through a GoFundMe account for Taiwo’s burial, adding that he would provide details on how the money was spent while expressing concern for his safety and that of his family.
