Nigerian celebrity TikTokers Peller, Jarvis announce re-engagement after breakup

Celebrity Nigerian content creators and TikTokers, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, and his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Amadou, better known as Jarvis, have announced their re-engagement after months of separation.

The TikToker shared the news on Thursday via his social media pages, posting footage of the proposal alongside a caption hinting at their possible future marriage.

“She said YES. My safe place and my greatest blessing. Here is to a lifetime of laughter and making memories forever… we have a wedding to plan,” he wrote.

Reacting to the post, Jarvis commented: “Are you ready to buy aso ebi?”

Videos of the proposal, which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana, have gone viral online. The footage shows Jarvis being escorted by Peller to the seafront amid elaborate decorations. Peller then went down on one knee and placed the engagement ring on her finger.

The duo had previously been engaged in December 2024 when Peller proposed to Jarvis at a restaurant in the presence of family and friends. However, the happy moment was followed by confusion after Jarvis described the ring as a promise ring, stating that she was not ready for marriage.

Following the development, the couple parted ways, leading to an emotional period for Peller, who broke down during a livestream after crashing his car. He was subsequently arrested by the Lagos State Police Command and later released.

The couple eventually reconciled and resumed publicly expressing affection for each other. Jarvis had previously revealed that Peller was the first man she had introduced to her family, noting that his age was a factor in their relationship. “I’m old enough to get married, but his age is slowing me down. If he were older than me, by now we’d have married,” she said.
