Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum visited Aisha Buhari, the wife of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, at a London residence on Monday to offer their condolences.

The visit followed a directive by President Bola Tinubu, who sent the delegation to London to receive the remains of the late former Nigerian leader and to console the bereaved family.
Buhari died on Sunday at a hospital in London. He was 82.
Western Post reported that the delegation was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Governor Zulum.

The dignitaries were received in a somber atmosphere by Mrs. Buhari and her children. During the meeting, the visitors offered prayers and shared words of comfort with the former First Lady, praising the legacy of her husband and his contributions to national development.
The delegation also paid a visit to former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who has also been receiving treatment at the same London hospital where Buhari was admitted and later passed away.

They further visited veteran journalist and nephew of the late president, Mamman Daura, who is also in London.
Earlier, the Katsina State Government confirmed that the late President Muhammadu Buhari would be buried on Tuesday in Daura, his hometown, in accordance with Islamic rites.
