Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Wednesday urged aspirants seeking elective positions under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain united ahead of the party primaries, assuring them that they were all winners regardless of the outcome.

The governor spoke at the APC secretariat in Ilorin during a meeting with House of Assembly aspirants, where he said the large number of contestants reflected the strength and popularity of the party in the state.

AbdulRazaq said the leadership of President Bola Tinubu had strengthened the APC across the country, describing the party as the most credible platform for anyone seeking political office in Nigeria.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has continued to drive economic transformation, which he said has supported development efforts in Kwara State and accelerated the delivery of projects across different sectors.

The governor acknowledged that elective positions were limited, but assured the aspirants that the party recognised their contributions and commitment to the APC, adding that many of them would still have opportunities to serve through appointments.

He urged the aspirants to remain loyal to the party and accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith, stressing that not securing a ticket should not be seen as the end of their political ambitions.

AbdulRazaq also called on party members to continue supporting President Tinubu’s administration, disclosing that the President would visit Kwara State before the end of the year to inaugurate some projects executed by the state government.

Earlier, the Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, commended the governor for what he described as remarkable achievements across the state and urged the aspirants to promote the administration’s projects and programmes during their political engagements.
