Mercy Johnson clears air on health, denies having cancer

Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has denied rumours claiming she is battling cancer.

The mother of four clarified that she only experienced a cancer scare related to her thyroid, which required urgent medical attention at the time.

“I am fine. I do not have cancer. My post was misconstrued. I said I had a cancer scare, but I don’t have cancer. Thank you all for the calls and checking up on me. I appreciate your concerns and just wanted to clarify,” she said.

Concerns about her health emerged over the weekend after she posted a video revealing a change in her appearance following throat surgery.
