Osun 2026: APC best platform for genuine development, says Faleye

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and immediate past Managing Director of the Osun State Investment Company Limited (OSICOL), Dr Tunde Faleye, has declared that the APC remains the only viable platform to deliver genuine development in the state.
Faleye said returning Osun to progressive governance has become imperative, citing visible development in APC-controlled states and the need for Osun to align with the Federal Government under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He made the declaration in Ilesa, headquarters of Ijesaland, while speaking with journalists at the annual end-of-year get-together of the Falex Foundation, a non-governmental organisation he founded, where food items were distributed to over 10,000 households.

Faleye urged residents to vote wisely as the state enters an election year, insisting it was necessary to oust the Ademola Adeleke-led administration, which he accused of maladministration and poor handling of critical sectors since assuming office in 2022.
He argued that Osun must rejoin the mainstream of national development, noting that several states formerly in opposition had embraced progressive governance due to policies and leadership at the federal level.
Faleye accused the current state government of prioritising self-preservation over public service, alleging that state resources were being diverted from development to cosmetic projects and concentrated in limited areas of the state.
He further criticised the quality and cost of projects executed by the Adeleke administration, citing a road project in Ilesa which he claimed cost N2.7 billion per kilometre, alleging poor quality and lack of value for money.
Projecting the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebanji (AMBO), Faleye described him as experienced and exposed, while the Chairman of the Falex Foundation, Hon. Ayodele Ogunjobi, said the foundation has consistently supported its members and distributes food items to no fewer than 10,000 residents of Ijesaland annually.
