Oyebanji signs six new bills into law

…as Ekiti Assembly passes 30 bills in 2 years
The governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has signed six new bills into laws to boost healthcare, water and sanitation services, local participation in procurement, data systems for planning, education governance, and protection of staff welfare.
Oyebanji who disclosed this in a post on his facebook page, said he signed the bills at the Ekiti State House of Assembly special plenary session recently.

The six new bills are Ekiti State Quality of Healthcare Law, 2025; Ekiti State Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector Law, 2025; Ekiti State Local Content (Second Amendment) Law, 2025; Ekiti State Statistical (First Amendment) Law, 2025; Ekiti State Senior Secondary School Board Law, 2025; and Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission Pension and Loans Board (First Amendment) Law, 2025.
Oyebanji commended the lawmakers for their dedication and unity of purpose, thanking them for their vote of confidence in him.
He states ” Today, I joined members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly for a special plenary to commemorate their second anniversary. It was a moment of reflection on how far we have come through collaboration, and to reaffirm our shared commitment to delivering good governance to our people.

” At the session, I signed six new bills into law. These are Ekiti State Quality of Healthcare Law, 2025; Ekiti State Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector Law, 2025; Ekiti State Local Content (Second Amendment) Law, 2025; Ekiti State Statistical (First Amendment) Law, 2025; Ekiti State Senior Secondary School Board Law, 2025; and Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission Pension and Loans Board (First Amendment) Law, 2025
” Each of these laws addresses a critical area of our development strategy, including the improvement of healthcare, water and sanitation services, local participation in procurement, data systems for planning, education governance, and protection of staff welfare.
