The Rivers State Government also began demolition of the assembly complex on Wednesday. While many believed it was to stop the 27 members from sitting, the River State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, in a statement on Wednesday, said the place was unsafe for human habitation because of the recent explosion and fire incident there.
The remaining four lawmakers have also continued to sit and received the 2024 budget which was presented by Governor Fubara on Wednesday.
