— as NSC DG attends strategic seminar in Riyadh
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reaffirmed its commitment and readiness to participate in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled to hold in Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 21, 2025.
As part of preparations for the event, the NSC Director General, Honourable Bukola Olopade, is currently attending a two-day seminar in Riyadh in his capacity as the Chef de Mission for Team Nigeria.
The seminar offers participating countries the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new guidelines and operational procedures for the Games.
Olopade departed the country on Friday, shortly after overseeing the successful conclusion of the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
His participation in the strategic seminar is expected to ensure that Team Nigeria is fully equipped with the necessary regulations and requirements to achieve a successful outing at the Games in November.

The Islamic Solidarity Games provide another platform for Nigeria to showcase its athletes and discover new talents, while contributing to the overall objectives of unity, diversity, and humanity that the Games represent.
Returning to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after 20 years, this year’s edition is expected to set new standards and bring together athletes from 57 member countries around the world.
